Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a quilt and what is it made of?

A quilt has three parts:
Top: This is where the design decisions come into play. This the most beautiful part of the quilt.
Batting: This is the middle layer that give the quilts their distinct shape, cushion and warmth.
Backing: This the final finishing piece to complete the quilt.
All three layers are quilted together with stitching. All quilts are made out of 100 percent cotton.

How do I order a custom quilt?

First we’ll talk about the design ideas you have, color options, materials, inspiration, deadlines and cost estimates. It’s OK if you don’t know exactly what you want. I’m here to help. This is our time to create the overall plan for the custom work and set the guidelines so your needs are met and you absolutely love the end result. Set aside about one hour for this. Once we agree on the cost and time frame of the project, 50 percent of the overall cost is required before work can begin. The balance is due when the project is complete. Once the payment is received, your quilt will be shipped to you.

Will I get to see my quilt as a work in progress?

Yes! Periodically, I’ll send pictures so you can see the progress.

What if I want to change my design?

While some changes can be made without incurring extra cost, others will. Up to two concept changes can be made in the first 7 days after the initial deposit is received. Once work on the quilt has started, the opportunity for change becomes limited. Contact me immediately if changes need to be made and we can determine how that will impact the cost and time frame of the project.

How long does it take?

On average, each project takes 4 to 8 weeks. Time depends on the complexity of the project.

What If I want to cancel my order?

Once the initial deposit is received, you will have 48 hours to cancel your order to guarantee a full refund of your deposit. After the cancellation window is closed, deposits are nonrefundable.
